Our goal is to: encourage your child to develop a healthy work ethic; boost their ability to solve problems confidently and quickly; and help them gain a solid understanding of the more challenging aspects of the 11+ syllabus and exam technique.
Your child’s 11+ exam success will depend on how well they can find solutions to problems and express their ideas fluently. We recognise that schools are looking for children who can demonstrate an intelligent approach, rather than repeat memorised information.
Our courses will help your child prepare for these new-style exams. They are developed by leading 11+ academics and lessons are delivered by highly experienced independent school teachers with outstanding track records of 11+ success. The focus will be on consolidating the key higher level 11+ skills and technique required for competitive entrance exams. Our students regularly gain places at Alleyn’s, JAGS, Dulwich College, GDST, KCS, Godolphin & Latymer, Highgate, St Paul’s and many more.
“ I wanted to let you know my daughter has been offered places at both her first choice schools – Alleyn’s and JAGS! I can’t thank you enough for the workshops and detailed advice (and counselling!). Your teachers raised the game way beyond the level that she was being prepared for at her school “. Easter Course 2019

Who will benefit? These Group sessions are designed for Year 5/6 students working towards 11+ exams and pre-tests in the Autumn and New Year. Small group learning gives you cost effective access to the very best tutors, and a very small class size will provide plenty of individual attention. At this stage in the calendar it is essential you continue to focus on 11+ preparation at a steady pace, to avoid your child falling behind or a last minute panic – which can be very stressful.
Who will be teaching the lessons? Our Group tutors are 11+ experts with oodles of school entrance experience. We see significant improvement in pupils confidence and grades, often gaining their first-choice schools, and on a number of occasions, scholarship offers.

What topics are covered?
Nothing is quite like your first school exam. It can be a daunting prospect.
In response to the introduction of the ISEB Pre-test we are adapting our October & November mock exams to a multiple-choice format based on the ISEB test (Maths, English, Reasoning). Practising this style of questions will help children feel familiarity in the real test, helping them to stay calm whilst making speedy and measured decisions, under supervised, timed conditions. A detailed report will follow each exam which will identify knowledge gaps versus silly mistakes, and any timing issues.
We believe that the interview process will be far more rigorous than usual and will involve a plethora of challenges. Based on this, the December mockexam will instead focus on confidence boosting interview preparation, and what to expect. We will be encouraging your child to fully engage and present their best self. Topics will include current affairs, mental maths, lateral thinking, comprehension techniques and visual analysis.
